John Lewis & Partners just keep on giving ❤️. As part of their Community Matters campaign they have recently donated £1,000 to each of the following 3 charities @York Teaching Hospital Charity @R S P C A York, Harrogate and District Branch @mindyork
All three charities are overwhelmed with the kind donation and have commented;
York Teaching Hospital said ‘This will support our Garden Initiative to use garden spaces as an aid to staff and patient wellbeing/recovery.’
‘Over the last year, York Mind has reached over 4500 people who are living with mental health problems. Through the wide range of services we offer we have seen many lives changed for the better and this is only possible through donations from clubs, organisations and individuals like yourselves.
However, as you can imagine, this year is looking very, very different. Our services are currently being offered via telephone or online delivery, and we are being contacted by people who have never required support with their mental health before.
This donation impacts on all areas of York Mind. It ensures that the organisation itself can continue to exist, in order to deliver the range of services we provide. This includes counselling, mental health and wellbeing activities, advocacy, mental health training, employability support and specific support for young people aged 8-25.’ said the York Mind charity.
A spokesperson from the RSPCA York said ‘We have continued to operate during the pandemic rescuing wildlife and other animals. We have also helped hundreds of pets find their new home during the lockdown. It’s been a busy and challenging time only possible with the ongoing support of the people of York.’
