Shopping Park remains customer service champions as Vangarde makes REVO ACE Awards shortlist once again
Remarkable customer service at a York shopping park has been recognised once again as it makes the REVO ACE Award shortlist.
Vangarde Shopping Park has been shortlisted in the Retail and Leisure Place category for delivering outstanding customer service, which it has won twice in the last four years.
Five members of Vangarde’s hardworking team have also been shortlisted in the ACE Stars category after being put to the test in a mystery shopper challenge and all scored 100 per cent.
Deborah O’Donnell, centre manager, said: “We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service at Vangarde. The team patrol the Park throughout the day so that they can deal with any customer problems or queries that may arise quickly and efficiently.
“The idea is for the team to be approachable, friendly, polite and helpful and I am proud to say that every single one of my team manages this every time”.
This will mark Vangarde’s operations manager, Carl Bailey’s, third year being shortlisted for an ACE Star Award, which he went on to win in 2018 for obtaining 100% in both mystery shopping rounds.
Carl had a special mention in the 2018 Winners’ Magazine for his outstanding customer service and his attentive and friendly nature when addressing the mystery shopper in the first round of the awards.
Carl said: “At Vangarde we are all one big family. We work as a team and want to help as much as we can. Each day poses a new challenge or obstacle, which we always overcome together. We want to ensure that customers leave the Park feeling as though they have had the best experience possible.
“We strive to abide by our Vangarde Values, which are pinned up in the staff room and we ensure to exhibit these values every time we clock on shift. The customer experience is extremely important to us and we are pleased that our efforts are being recognised by such a prestigious organisation such as the ACE Awards”.
The team hope to continue to be recognised for their efforts in delivering perfect customer service to those visiting the Park.
Deborah continued: “We wish to strive to improve year-on-year. This is our fifth year entering the ACE Awards and I am incredibly proud of the team for what they have achieved so far. I wish them all the best of luck in the final rounds and I am excited to see where this can lead us”.
The final round of ACE Star mystery shops and the main category Judge’s visit, will take place throughout January and results will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on April 4.
