York shopping park appoints Facilities Support Manager as it aims to retain national customer service award
ACE Award-winner Vangarde Shopping Park has appointed a new Facilities Support Manager as it aims to win the national award for the second year running.
Dave Price, who has previously worked as a vehicle builder at York Carriage Works and as a security officer for a nationally-renowned supermarket chain, will be managing the shopping park’s security, car park and cleaning team as they aim to ensure customer service goes beyond the high standards that the team have produced since the shopping park opened in April 2014.
Vangarde Shopping Park claimed the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) ACE Award trophy after ranking as the best retail park in the country for its customer service and cleanliness.
The award, which is coveted by shopping parks and centres across the UK, focuses on customer service from mystery shop visits to service on social media and will be announced in March next year.
Dave said: “My new role is very customer focused as Vangarde Shopping Park aims to continue to better itself when it comes to providing the best experience for visitors.
“I am very excited about working with the team and keeping up the motivation and the high standards of customer service we pride ourselves on here.
“I’m really looking forward to the new challenge and the variance of the role.”
Vangarde Shopping Park appointed Dave as each store continues to see increasing numbers of visitors shopping at the park, especially ahead of the busy festive period.
Deb O’Donnell, centre manager, said: “Dave is a fantastic addition to the Vangarde team and his experience working with customers previously will make him an asset to the team.
“We’re very proud to have won the ACE Award in 2015 and we will do everything we can to try and win again next year.
