Vangarde Shopping Park welcomes new tenant, Nando’s
The Oakgate Group has today announced that the popular Portuguese restaurant chain, Nando’s is the latest tenant to join the flagship Vangarde Shopping Park in York.
The new restaurant will join a number of new lettings that have now been agreed, bringing some well-known, family brands to Monks Cross, including Hotel Chocolat in John Lewis, Costa Coffee, Prezzo, Frankie & Benny’s plus York’s first Giraffe restaurant.
Richard France, managing director of The Oakgate Group, commented: “To attract Nando’s to the restaurant line up at the Vangarde Retail Park adds another dimension to the already exciting food offer. I expect to be announcing another new name for the line up in the next week.
“York is maintaining its position as a key regional shopping destination and Vangarde can boast one of the best retail line-ups in the UK. We’ve worked hard to create an exciting mix of restaurants and retail units and we’re looking forward to opening to the public in April 2014.”
The Oakgate Group, which is part owned by Caddick Group, commenced work in March 2013 on the flagship retail and leisure development. It is set to open in Easter 2014 and will deliver 1,000 new jobs to the City and provide significant funding for the new 6,000 seat Community Stadium, the proposed new home to York City FC and the York City Knights.
